Mr. Romie C. Arrington, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Romie was born in Keysville, Georgia, grew up in Port Wentworth, Georgia, and was a long-time resident of Pooler.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Reese Cusell Arrington and Eliza Prescott Arrington, his wife, Mary Sharpe Arrington and a sister, Verna Arrington.  He retired from Delta Air Lines and also from Automotive Paint and Equipment.  He enjoyed watching sports, especially football.  He loved driving on the back roads on a Saturday, maybe going to a weekend festival or just somewhere new and meeting people.

Survivors include his children, Stevie Arrington, Patty Noles, Joey Arrington, Susan Webster, Charles Williams, Angie Brettin, Bobby Donahue, Marie Scarpitti, and Nikki Trent; twenty-one grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Arnold and Edna Pierce; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Dixie.

The graveside funeral and burial to honor Romie's life will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Effingham Memorial Gardens located at 880 Highway 119 in Springfield, Georgia.
