Ronald (Ron) C. Carrico, 76, of Richmond Hill, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 18th, 2025, in the arms of his loving wife of 13 1/2 years, Bernadette (Bernie) Carrico.
Ron was born in Huntington, WV, on February 7, 1949. He was raised in Southpoint, OH, and was a lifelong fan of THE Ohio State Buckeyes. Upon graduation from Southpoint High School, Ron attended tech school in Louisville, KY, and completed his two year technical degree in electronics. He utilized his education during his 38 years of service to CSX Railroad, from 1970 to 2008. In addition, Ron spent 14 years serving his country as a member of the United States Army Reserves. A natural teacher, Ron spent his life showing his love through service, by helping others and sharing knowledge in many facets of his life and career.
In addition to his love of college football, he was an avid golfer who truly appreciated and respected the game. He enjoyed bicycling, traveling, working around his home and yard, and, most importantly, spending time with people he loved and cared about. An active and devout Christian, his love for his family and friends was only surpassed by his love for God.
Ron is preceded in death by his father, Earl C. Carrico, mother, Ella Ruth Carrico, brothers in law Bill Duncan and Lonnie Gibson, and his beloved first wife, Deborah Lynn Carrico.
He leaves behind his wife Bernie and cherished fur baby Ginger. Ron is also survived by his three sisters, Betty E. Hamrick (Stephen Hamrick), Edna Jean Gibson, and Diana R. Best (Randall Best), and many nieces and nephews.
