Mr. Ronald H. "Ronnie" Hinely, 77, of Port Wentworth, GA, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

He was born in Savannah to the late S.A. "Hoke" Hinely and Ruth Mingledorff Hinely.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Ivey.  He served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam.  He was a member of the Sea Bees and he was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Richard T. Turner Masonic Lodge #116 F&AM and a member of the American Legion Post 135.  He was a member of the Port Wentworth United Methodist Church and attended the First Baptist Church of Garden City.  He retired after 43 years from CSX Railroad.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sylvia C. Hinely; children, Shannon Bull (Barry) of Evans, GA, William S. "Billy" Hinely (Jessica) of Waycross; grandchildren, Stephen and Shane Bull of Evans, GA, Will, Eli and Luke Hinely of Waycross; step-grandchildren, Cole, Conley and Cailyn Gibson of Waycross, GA, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The graveside funeral and burial for Mr. Hinely will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Effingham Memorial Gardens located at 880 Highway 119 South, Springfield, GA.  The family requests that attendees social distance and wear masks.
