Ronnie "Ron" L. Stafford

Garden City – Ronnie "Ron" L. Stafford, 72, went to rest with his Heavenly Father on February 12, 2014.

Ronnie was born in Savannah, GA and had resided in Garden City for most of his life.

He was an active member of Countryside Baptist Church in Guyton, GA. He was a journeyman certified welder and a 46 year member of Local #188 in Savannah. He was also affiliated with Garden City Band of Brothers who he loved dearly.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his father and mother, Weldon L. and Pansy C. Stafford; his brother, Richard "Ricky" C. Stafford; and his grandson, Josh Stafford.

He is survived by his devoted wife Micki; two daughters, Jill (Steve) Olsen of Atlanta, GA and Jamie Stafford of Fort Lauderdale, FL; son, Jody Stafford of Rincon, GA; step-son, Rusty Scriver of North Fairfield, OH; grandson, Chance Stafford of Guyton, GA; niece, Lori Anne Stafford-Hudson (Stephen) of Midway, GA; great-niece, Stafford Elizabeth Hudson of Midway, GA; sister-in-love, Ann Stafford of Richmond Hill, GA; and his constant companion, Prissy.

Visitation will be Friday, February 14, 2014, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home in Rincon, GA.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Countryside Baptist Church in Guyton, GA with Pastor Terry Wilson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Hudson, Mike Goransky, Curtis Jones, David Warren, Danny Himsey, Jonathan Hawkins, Richard Hawkins, Dave Wimer, and honorary pallbearer, Forrest Hubbs.

Burial will be at Hillcrest Abbey West on Dean Forest Road, Garden City, GA.

"All the way my Savior leads me, what have I to ask beside? Can I doubt His tender mercies, who thro' life has been my guide?"
