Ronnie Scott, 71, of Eden, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018.

He was born on December 28, 1946 in Emanuel County to the late John and Myrtle Scott and was also preceded in death by his brother, Rayburn "Sonny" Scott.  He spent most of his life driving his truck.  Most knew him by no other way and called him by "Big R".  He always found a way to joke and laugh in any situation.  In his leisure time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.  The family would say he was a strong and patient man.

Survivors include his wifey, Rhonda F. Scott of Eden; children, Brian Keith Scott (Maria) of Pooler, Michelle Todd (Jack) of Eden, Jennifer Marie McNamar and her fiancé, Michael T. Settles, Sr. of Guyton; sisters, Joyce Greenway of Midville and Sarah Crawford of Eden; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The visitation will be on Saturday, September 22 ^nd from 1 until 3 p.m. at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler.

The graveside funeral and burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim.
