Rosa Lee Tillman McBride
Bloomingdale- Rosa Lee Tillman McBride, 85, entered God's Kingdom on Friday September 27, 2013.
Born in Effingham County to the late Jesse and Bessie (Fennell) Tillman.
Mrs. McBride was a 1945 graduate from the Marlow High School. She was employed by Electrical Machinery several years before going to GE Electrical Co., where she retired in 1992.
She was a member of Ash Street Baptist Church in Bloomingdale. She was preceded in death by her parents: Jesse and Bessie Tillman of Marlow; husband: James "Mac" McBride of Bloomingdale; grandson: Zeb Rowland of Ellabell; sister: Christine Houston of Albany; and brother: James "Bubba" Tillman of Marlow.
Surviving are daughters, Sharon (Robbie) Meador of Springfield, Janis (Reggie) Saturday of Rincon, Angela (Dion) Bridges of Guyton, and Toni (Joe) Rowland of Ellabell; son, Jeffery (Jeannie) McBride of Bloomingdale; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathryn Smith of Albany and Pearl (Robert) Carter of Pennington Gap, VA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2013 in the funeral home.
The funeral to celebrate Mrs. McBride's life was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 30, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Carlton Wiley and Rev. Kenny Harrelson officiating. Interment followed at Westside Memorial Gardens
A fellowship followed the funeral at Ash Street Baptist Church.
