Mrs. Rose Holland Sikes, 84, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2024 in her home surrounded by  family.

Rose was born in Tattnall County and had lived in Pooler for many years.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Loren L. Holland and Mary Bowen Holland, her husband, Robert L. Sikes, and a sister, Annie Belle Kicklighter.  She was a member of Pooler First Baptist Church and was a devoted homemaker.  She loved light houses, gospel music, watching game shows, and doing crossword puzzles.  Most of all, she loved her family.  Rose will be truly missed for her captivating spirit and her innate ability to recollect minute details of her life and experiences.

Survivors include her son, Glenn Sikes; granddaughter, Hannah Tabakian (Jonathan); great-granddaughter, Peyton Rose Tabakian; sister, Lorena Threatt; brother, Bobby J. Holland, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.   The funeral to honor Rose's life will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m. with the burial to follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.
