Pooler-Rosemary Iris De La Torre-Ugarte, 23, passed away on Saturday as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Rosemary was born in Queens, NY and had lived in Chicago from 1993 until 2005 when she moved to Savannah. She was employed at La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant. She enjoyed playing her Peruvian instruments, spending time with children, helping others, cooking and dancing. She was also known to have a beautiful voice. She was a wonderful friend who brought much joy and happiness to all who knew her. She was always the life of the party. Her infectious smile and sense of humor illuminated everyone around her.
Survivors include her parents, Miguel "Mike" & Iris Sarria; siblings, Juan Carlos, Jonathan, Jennifer and Ricky; niece, Emily; nephews, Zek and Amaru; grandmother, Rosa Nieto; grandfather, Ricardo De La Torre-Urgarte; loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Visitation: 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home.
