Mrs. Rosetta "Mommy Rose" Howard McLamb, 97, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the Bryan County Health and Rehab facility.
Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents, David Lee Howard and Emma Howard, her husband, John Cornell McLamb, a grandson, David Phillips, a great-grandson, Eric Mattox, and a son-in-law, Craig Phillips. She was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church where she and her husband taught Sunday School, and was a current member of Central Baptist Church. She retired from Sears after 30 years of service. She will be remembered for being a kind-hearted, loving, wife, mother, and grandmother who always had a big smile.
Survivors include her daughter, Sherill McLamb Phillips; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie C. and Susan McLamb; grandchildren, Charles Phillips, Timothy Phillips, Karen M. Mattox, Sharon and Doug Lawson, and Tara Shaffer; great-grandchildren, Michael Phillips, Sherill Mattox, Kayla Hancock, Alyssa Lawson, D.J. Lawson, and Shawna Brown; great-great grandson, Jeremiah Hancock, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Central Baptist Church located at 4010 Old Louisville Road in Garden City. The funeral to honor Mrs. Rosetta's life will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the sanctuary of the church with Brother Kenny Harrelson officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Bryan County Health and Rehab, especially Gerivian and Micah, for the wonderful care provided to Mrs. Rosetta.
