Roy Coleman Head "Butch"

Roy Coleman Head “Butch”, 70, of Ellabell, Georgia, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

Roy will be missed by his loving family, including his wife of 34 years, Mary Head; children, David (Sherri) Clifton, Heather (Bryan) Jones, Melissa (Gary) Floyd, Jen Bruner, and Kimberley (Rich) Canham; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; siblings, Charlie (Joni) Head, David Head, and Sonya Head (Amanda).

Roy served his country in the United States Army for 12 years. He had a long career in the electrical field for over 30 years. He enjoyed reading books and playing poker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy L. Head & Jewel Hicks; step-father, Jim Hicks; brother, Marty Head; sister, Julie Head; great-granddaughter, Adalynn Davis.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be given to the American Heart Association or your local animal shelter.

The family will host a celebration of Roy’s life at the Head residence on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
