Roy C. Nease

Guyton- Roy C. Nease, 89, died Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Effingham Hospital.
The Effingham County native was a retired sawmill operator and was the oldest member of Marlow United Methodist Church. The World War II Army Air Corp veteran had served on the Effingham County School Board and was a member of the Effingham County Sports Hall of Fame. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norene Nease and his son, Roy C. Nease, Jr.
Survivors include his son, Norman Nease (Marcie); daughter-in-law, Lenora Nease; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 pm Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 am Thursday, January 16, 2014 in the funeral home chapel.
Interment: Marlow Cemetery.
Remembrances: Marlow United Methodist Church.
