Springfield – Roy Irving O'Connor, 88, passed away May 18, 2025 at his residence.

The Illinois native was a U.S. Navy veteran.  He retired from Gulfstream, loved riding motorcycles having belonged to several clubs, enjoyed camping and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Gladys O'Connor; sons, Mark O'Connor and Christopher O'Connor; step-daughters, Bethany Glinski, Marlena Smith, and Melanie Pitingaro; brother, Harold O'Connor, Jr.; and sister, Gladys Torkelson.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred O'Connor; step-son, Robert Jones; and 4 grandchildren.

Memorial mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025 at St. Boniface Catholic Church.

His cremains will be interred in GA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville at later date.
