Rincon – Royce Lee Ashcraft, 95, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Effingham Care Center.

Born in Pine Bluff, AK moving with his family at the age of 7 to Meldrim, GA, Royce spent the majority of his life in Port Wentworth where, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth, and at various times in his life was involved with motorcycle and go cart racing, the Jaycees and Lions Club, but the main constant throughout his life was that he loved to work.  Royce was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Ashcraft; and his son, Ernie Ashcraft.

He is survived by his children, Val Andrew Ashcraft (Sondra) and Luann Howell (Robert); 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 10 – 11:45 am Monday, September 9, 2024 in the funeral home.

Graveside service: 1 pm Monday, September 9, 2024 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
