Ruby Lene Peeples Huncke Hargroves

Guyton – Ruby Lene Peeples Huncke Hargroves, 86, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Memorial Health under the care of Hospice.

She was a native of Effingham County. Her parents were Hurbert Peeples and Alice Zittrouer Peeples Totten.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Albert Hargroves, Sr.

Survivors include her 7 children and 1 step-son, Junita McClendon of Savannah, Amanda Abbott of Statesboro, Kathy Huncke of Savannah, Elizabeth Cole (Mark) of Effingham, Dorothy Dasher of Effingham, Betty Pittman (Joey) of Effingham, Edward Hargroves of Effingham, and Raymond Albert Hargroves, Jr. of Effingham; 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Wilbur Samuel Peeples of Palmer, Alaska; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in Sand Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
