Obituary

Bloomingdale-Mr. Russell "Midnight Rider" Lee, 71, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at his home.
Russell was born in Savannah to the late Claude & Irma Lee. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Ronnie and Bobby Lee. He retired from the GA Ports Authority, and had worked with both the Boilermakers and Iron Workers Union. He was of the Presbyterian faith, enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing cards. He also formerly coached the Bloomingdale Bears and served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Lee; children, Tootie Crooms, Shea & Angel Lee, Rusty & Jan Lee, and Henry Frazier; grandchildren, Jenci & Chase Ambrose, Jessie & Kayla Crooms, Jordan & April Boatright, Rayna Wance, Tanner & Hannah Lee, Summer Lee, Rachel Lee, Michelle Lee, and Shannon Lee; great-grandchildren, Garrett Ambrose, Graycen Ambrose, and Rhett Lee; siblings, Billy Callison, Tony Kemp, and Tina Canuet; a number of nieces, nephews and many friends.
The visitation will be on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 2 until 3 p.m. at the funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. George Emory Lee officiating. Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Dyer, Joey Herrington, Chris Taylor, Guy Taylor, Ronnie Scruggs, and Bret Ambrose. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Willoughby, Eddie Crooms, and Timmy Godbee. Military honors and the burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery. Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Homes - West Chatham Chapel in Pooler.
