Bloomingdale-Mrs. Ruth C. Martin Mew, 67, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015.
Ruth was born in Little Rock, SC and was preceded in death by a son, Gene Donald Mew, Jr., and her father, Claude Haskell Martin. She raised three beautiful & good children, she was so proud of them all, and loved them so dearly. She and her husband had been married 47 years which was a great achievement. She was a caring, loving, and amazing wife, mother, grandmother. Ruth had an unforgettable laugh, and a smile that would light up the world. Ruth always shared that smile and her heart with everyone she came in contact with. She was loved by many.
Survivors include her husband, Gene D. Mew; children, Donna & Mark Ausley, Andy & Lisa Mew, and Scottie & Abby Mew; grandchildren, Madison, Chris, Logan, Justin, Ryan, Kayleigh, Morgan, Brandon, Olivia, Abigail, Noah, and Nicole; mother, Mrs. Dorothy Martin; brothers, Frank Martin and Marvin Martin; sister, Frances Wiggins; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
