Mrs. Ruthann Knorr Decker, 70, of Pooler, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 3, 2018.

Mrs. Decker was born in Paterson, NJ to Edith & Garret Knorr, Sr.  She and her husband relocated from Wayne, NJ to Pooler, GA in August of 2010.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Justin Decker on December 10, 2010.

She is survived by her faithful and loving Labrador, Maggie Mae; sister, Regina Rehnberg, and husband, Alan, of Lancaster, PA; three brothers, Garry Knorr, Jr. of Paterson, NJ, William Knorr and wife, Tracy, of Long Valley, NJ, Mark Knorr and wife, Karen, of North Haledon, NJ; four nephews, Scott, Kyle, Brian, and Steven; one niece, Kristin; 7 great nieces and nephews; step-daughter, Allison Stoveken; two step-grandchildren, Frank Lester and Susanna Jean of Ringwood, NJ.

Mrs. Decker loved her Lord and only wanted to do His work.  She was a member of the Pooler First Baptist Church of Pooler, GA and a member of the Win One Sunday School Class and had a Women's Missionary Union Bible study at her house once a month.  She retired from International Specialty Corp. in Wayne, NJ in 2008.  She enjoyed going to church to be with her friends, and her favorite hobbies were sewing, making backpacks for the Foster Children of Savannah, pillow-case dresses for "Dress a Girl Around the World", sewing pillows and giving them to those who were hurting, mourning or needed something to hug and  baking goodies for her friends and family.

The visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler, GA.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018 at the Pooler First Baptist Church located at 204 Hwy. 80 in Pooler.

The graveside funeral and burial will be at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery located at 1336 Dean Forest Road in Garden City, GA.
