Ryan Cody Crawford, 27, of Wilmington Island, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023 at home on his sailboat.

Ryan was born in Mesa, Arizona, spent most of his youth in Richmond Hill and graduated from Effingham County High School in 2014.  He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Lee Crawford.  He had been a chef for several restaurants in the Savannah area and was currently employed with Ellie's Crow Bar on Wilmington Island.  Ryan lived on a sailboat and had plans to sail to Florida and the Bahamas.  He enjoyed singing Karaoke and playing his guitar.  On most nights you could find him hanging out at The Islander where lately he had been hosting Trivia Nights.

Survivors include his mother, Penny Scholar; father, Greg Scholar; sister, Rachel Chastain; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel & Alicia Crawford; nieces, Dani and Gracie Crawford; siblings, Terry Lee Crawford, Jr., Michael Crawford and Olivia Crawford.

The visitation will be on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at the funeral home.  The funeral will follow at 12 noon in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Burnt Church Cemetery in Richmond Hill, Georgia.
