ELLABELL: Mr. Salvatore LaRosa, Jr. , 96, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Hospice Savannah.
A native of New York City, Mr. LaRosa was born in Italy to the late Salvatore LaRosa and Rosalee Domico. He is preceded in death by his step-daughter, Carol Fuller and step-son, Michael Taranovich. He owned his own bakery in Stanton Island, NY for 50 years and was the owner of Sal's Pizza in Blitchton.
He is survived by his wife, Angelina LaRosa; daughters, Angela (Charles) Beasley of Ellabell and Rosalee (Mike) Urso of Myrtle Beach, SC; son, Salvatore (Nancy) LaRosa of Myrtle Beach, SC; step-sons, Steve (Norma) Taranovich of Eden and David (Diane) Frieberg of Ellabell; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, October 9, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bloomingdale.
