Mr. Sammy Washington, Jr., 64, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Memorial Hospital.

Sammy was born in Los Angeles, California to the late Samuel Washington and Ethel Kearney Washington.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Jenni Winn, and a niece, Linda Brown.  He was of the Catholic faith and had worked for the U.S. Postal Service.  He enjoyed electronics, was a movie buff, and enjoyed attending his nieces and nephews track and field events.

Survivors include his siblings, Chalmette Moore (Wilbert, Jr.), Deborah Horton, Linda Washington, Martha Washington, Dan Washington (Agnes), and Anita Washington; nieces and nephews, Wil Moore, III, Chanelle Moore-Speropulos, Lakesha Lewis, Lonell Horton (Kristian), Darrin Horton, Pamela Jones-Simpson, Eric Holmes, Alexis Oliver, Nichol Washington-Gaynair, Hawana Washington, Donald Mosley, Jr., Shannon Riley, Deon Washington, Deanna Washington, Anthony Nash, Alishia Barfield, Alexander Churchill, Anthony Winn, Christina Winn, Sandra Coleman, and Michael Winn.

Sammy's wishes were to be cremated.
