Obituary
POOLER: Mr. Samuel H. Jones, 65, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Hospice Savannah.
Mr. Jones was a native of Virginia, but resided in Georgia for the past 30 years. He retired after 43 years as a truck driver. His hobbies were fishing, and working on cars and lawnmowers. Sam will be greatly missed by everyone who's life he touched.
He is survived by his wife, Jeri Marie Jones of Pooler; step-son, Shahahn Washington of Augusta; mother, Nancy Linnia Jones of Virginia; sisters, Lynda Parrish of Augusta, Marina Johnson of Maryland, Nancy Freeman and Dorothy Jones, both of Virginia; brothers, Charles Jones of Kentucky, Howard and David Jones, both of Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens.
