Rincon-Samuel "Sonny" V. Boyd, 51, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Effingham Hospital.
Sam was born in Savannah and was formerly employed at Dixie Crystal for 29 years. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, a 3rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, enjoyed the outdoors as well as cooking and baking. He was preceded in death by a son, Zachary Boyd.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Boyd; two sons, Bradley Monroe Boyd and Jacob Ramsey Boyd; parents, Jackie Hankins, Ted & Lajuan Boyd; siblings, Hank Glenn (Carman), Tony Boyd (Kelly), Teddy Boyd (Dr. Buffi) and Tisha Kreyenbuhl (Jamie) as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 10 until 11:45 a.m. on Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with the funeral mass to follow at 12 noon.
