Pooler-Mr. Samuel Washington, 90, passed away on Friday at his home.
Samuel was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Dan & Corine Washington. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Washington; and his daughter, Jenni Winn. He retired from Exceptional Children's Foundation, and served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his children, Chalmette Moore (Wilbert), Deborah Horton, Linda Washington, Sammy Washington, Martha Washington, Dan Washington, and Anita Washington; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21st in the chapel of the funeral home with the graveside funeral and burial to follow at 12:30 p.m. at Drayton Cemetery located at 204 Mitchellville Road in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
