Sara Mae Doss

Springfield- Sara M. Doss, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 2, 2010.

She was born in Telfair County, GA. She was a wonderful, loving and caring Wife, Mother, Grandparent and Great-Grandparent. Sara was her family's rock and always had the time to listen and take action if needed. Sara lived by truth. She inspired positive thinking. She created many happy moments for each of us and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Vincent and Sally Mae Swain, by a beloved son, Gerald "Jerry" Robert Wagner, Jr. and siblings, Robert "Bob", Jr., Louis, William "Bill" Swain, Betty Whittimore and Mary Selph.

She is survived by her husband of forty-six years, Zack Doss; a sister, Laurene Johnson; children, Fran Wagner, Alex Doss and spouse Susan, Chris Doss; daughter-in-law, Pamela Wagner; her adopted family the Jeans, Kelley, Milam, Wil and Olivia; her grandsons, Edward F. Davis, Jr. and partner Kristi Skillas, Christopher T. Davis, Sr. and wife Tamara, Gerald R. "Trey" Wagner, III and wife Jessica, Todd B. Wagner and wife Jamie, and Christopher Doss and Amber; her great-grandchildren, Bailey and C.T. Davis, Jr., Madison, Jaxson and Grant Wagner, Garrett and Alexander Cone, and Desiree Rose and Gabriel Doss.

She is also survived by her best friend of seventy plus years, Helen Branch and her family; Gloria Jan Green and her family; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 pm Friday, November 5, 2010 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 11 am Saturday, November 6, 2010 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Springfield Cemetery Annex

Her family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be sent to Hospice Savannah, PO Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416 in appreciation for their dedication and support to her and her family.
