Sergio Hernandez, 43, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at Candler Hospital.

Sergio was born in Xalapa Veracruz, Mexico and had lived in Savannah for a number of years.  He was preceded in death by his father, Sergio Enrique Amescua.  He was the owner/operator of SHL Home Improvements and a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  He enjoyed soccer and traveling.

Survivors include his wife, Leonor Vargas; mother, Martha Beatriz Lopez, and brother, Juan Hernandez Lopez.

The funeral to honor Sergio's life will be on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 1707 Bull Street in Savannah.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 3 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
