Springfield – Sharon Ann "Sam" Startzman McClary Stone, 72, passed away Friday, May 21, 2021 at her home in her sleep.

The Hagerstown, MD native graduated from Clear Springs High School in 1967 and worked for over 35 years in the medical field at Memorial Health and at St. Joseph's Hospital. She also had worked at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons FH in Rincon and in Pooler for several years.

She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Diane Renee Simmonds and Mario A. Simmonds, Sr.; son & daughter-in-law, Robert "Bobby" McClary and Kimberly McClary; grandchildren, Renee Ann Maria Simmonds, Mario A. Simmonds, Jr., Sierra Ann McClary, and Mason Russ McClary; great-grandchildren, Naycha'Lee Saimone Williams, Aamyra'Lee Ebony Williams, and Jahmal Emmanual Williams, Jr.; sister, Sandy Sanders; niece, Danette Carson; nephew, Paul Crapse; and best friend, Nancy Barenchik.

Visitation: 1-2 pm Thursday, May 27, 2021 in the funeral home.

Memorial Service: 2 pm Thursday, May 27, 2021 in the chapel.

Remembrances: ASPCA or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
