Guyton – Sheila Patrice English Atkins "Patty", 59, passed away September 5, 2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

The Effingham County native worked with her father at Kwik Way in Guyton for many years, was a longtime bus driver for Effingham County Schools, and a homemaker.  She was an avid gardener loving flowers, cooking, baking, the beach and mountains.  She was adventurous and loved to travel.  She spent many hours at the ballpark with her kids and grandchildren whom called her "Gigi".

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Jane Davis Stallings.

Survivors include her husband, Donnie Atkins; children, Kacy Gay (Curtis), Dusty Moore (Sarah), and Rachel Childers (Ryan); her father, Bobby English (Shannon); grandchildren, Cooper Gay, Kali Gay, Carter Hinely, Jake Moore, and Greyson Childers; siblings, Stephen English (Theresa), Amber Shamblin, Chelse Ensley, and Dalton English; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2021 at Effingham Memorial Gardens.
