Sheila Fulcher Saxon

Springfield – Sheila Fulcher Saxon, 66, passed away Sunday evening, August 9, 2020.

Sheila, the youngest of six, was born on Sept. 16, 1953 to the late Sheriff Lloyd C. & Matra Z. Fulcher. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Tim Uzupan.

Sheila, a lifelong resident of Springfield, was a 1971 graduate of Effingham County High School, member of the First Baptist Church of Springfield, former Justice of the Peace, served on the Effingham County Fair Board of Directors and enjoyed playing canasta for over a decade with her canasta ladies.

Survivors include her children, Nicole Uzupan and Matt & Senoma Saxon; beloved granddaughters, Amelia Uzupan, Chloe Price, Harlie Price, and Bailey Saxon; siblings, LaVonne Sutton, Buddy & Jan Fulcher, David & Marlene Fulcher, Dottie & Grady Rahn and Kay Barrs; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be missed by her family and all her friends.

Visitation: 10:30 – 11:30 am Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Springfield. CDC and social distancing guidelines will be followed.

Funeral: 11:30 am Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Springfield with CDC and social distancing guideline being followed.

Interment: Springfield Cemetery Annex.
