Sheila Renee Warner, 63, of Guyton, GA, was called home to our Lord on November 9, 2024.
Sheila was born June 30, 1961, to the late Horace and Laverne Parks in Memphis, TN. Sheila retired from a 30+ long career as a bank teller in 2022. Sheila was also an LPN and worked intermittently as a dialysis nurse. Sheila enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family and friends most. She was known for her constant kindness and loving presence. Sheila was known as Grammy or Mom to most that knew her regardless of relation. Her capacity for love and acceptance was exceptional.
Sheila is preceded in death by her parents, Horace Quincy Parks and Nellie Laverne Johnston Parks; her husband of 44 years, Sidney Oatley Warner II; and her half-brother, Michael Glover.
Survivors include her son, Sidney Oatley Warner III; daughter, Jessica Warner Swindell (Wes); grandchildren, Tate Warner, Jackson Swindell, Alex Swindell, and John Swindell; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, November 15, 2024, from 1:00pm – 2:00pm at Thomas C. Strickland and Sons Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel
Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel.
