Register-Mrs. Shelma J. Hanna Hamilton, 57, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Mayo Clinic.
Shelma was born in Savannah to the late Laurie & Jeanette Hanna. She had lived in Register for the past 13 years and was a communicant of St. Matthews Parish in Statesboro. She had been employed with the GA Ports Authority for 30 years.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Hamilton of Register; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew & Brandalyn Hanna of Guyton; sisters, Elizabeth Archer of Jacksonville, FL, Margaret Boyer of Guyton, and Terri Davis of Guyton, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20th with the funeral to follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler. Burial will follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.
