Obituary

Clyo – A loving and caring sweet soul, Frances Sheryl Wendelken, 68, passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 at Memorial Health.

The Bryan County native was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield and the New Beginnings Sunday School Class. She loved crocheting and was a member of the Clyo Homemakers Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Pauline Hayes; and her sister, Carolyn Hutchinson.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Randy Wendelken; sisters, Hilda Howell (Clyde) of Ellabell, Sandy Holcombe (Mike) of Ellabell; Theresa Ellis (William) of Springfield; brother-in-law, Winston Hutchinson of Guyton; 2 very special nieces, Kim Coyer (Don) of Eden and Karen Bryant of Eden; sister-in-law, Betty Wendelken of Jackson; nieces, Linda Harwell of Hampton and Marci Wendelken of Griffin; other nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her furry pet, Rocky.

Visitation: 5-7 pm Sunday, April 24, 2022 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 3 pm Monday, April 25, 2022 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Goshen UMC Cemetery

Remembrances: National Kidney Foundation or American Diabetes Association.
