Shirley Edwards Patterson
Guyton – Shirley Edwards Patterson, 76, passed away Monday, September 14, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
The Tennessee native was a member of Guyton United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Julia Burns Edwards; son, Charles E. Patterson, Jr.; grandson, Christopher Vernon Patterson; son-in-law, Edward L. Armstrong, Jr.; siblings, Willie, Mary, Linda, and Johnny.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Charles E. Patterson, Sr.; children, Frank (Michele) Patterson and Janice P. Armstrong all of Guyton; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Capri Patterson; siblings, Betty Dennis, Jerry and Joe Edwards; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Guyton United Methodist Church.
Interment will be in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
