Mrs. Shirley Chase Rose, 75, of Eden, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at her home.

She was born in Glenville, Georgia and was preceded in death by her parents, John William and Norine Jones Peth.  She was also preceded in death by her biological father, Curtis Burns, two brothers, John Russell Peth and Charles Mitchell, as well as a sister, Carolyn Meadows.  She was a member of South Newington Baptist Church for most of her life and retired from Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery after 20 years of service.

Survivors include her husband, Alfreddie Rose; children, Vicky Burney (David), Helen Ramalgia, Sandy DeLoach (Paul), Cathy Hall (Henry), and Robby Chase (Amy); 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Knowles; sister-in-law, Phyllis Peth, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the South Newington Baptist Church located at 453 John Carter Road, Bloomingdale.  The funeral to honor Shirley's life will follow at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of the church.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be given to South Newington Baptist Church, 462 John Carter Road, Bloomingdale, GA  31302.
