Statesboro – Shirley Underwood Williams, 82, passed away February 4, 2022 at her residence.

She was a member of Effingham Baptist Church and retired from the Garment Factory in Springfield.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Underwood and Dahlia Gordon Underwood; husband, Roger Franklin Williams; several brothers and 1 sister.

Survivors include her children, Randy Williams of Statesboro, Gary Williams (Kimberly) of South Carolina, Vondell Williams Driggers (Perry) of Statesboro, and Tracy Williams of Ellabell; sister, Jeannette Manning of Pennsylvania; brother, Richard Underwood of Twin City; grandchildren, Brian Hurst of Glennville, Dustin Williams of Eden, Danielle Williams of Eden, Angel Driggers of Statesboro, Carolina Williams of South Carolina, and Summer Williams of South Carolina; great-grandchildren, Roger Driggers of Statesboro, Bryson Baxter of Eden, and Braylynn Baxter of Eden; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022 in the chapel with Rev. Tom Davis and Rev. Jackie McCullough officiating.  Pallbearers will be Rob Berry, Brian Hurst, Gary Williams, Richard Neal, Anthony Beaupre, and Lance Beaupre.

Interment will follow in Springfield Cemetery Annex.
