Sidney Oatley Warner II, 70, of Guyton, GA, was called home to our Lord on October 14, 2024.
Sid was born September 15, 1954, of the late Harold and Muriel Warner in Seattle, WA. Sid retired in 2013 after a 40-year long career in manufacturing management in Tennessee. After retiring, Sid and his wife moved to Springfield, GA. He also worked with A. W. Kieffer Construction until 2022. Sid served as a volunteer coach for the Georgia 4-H Project SAFE Shooting Sports program in both archery and shotgun from 2014-2020. Sid's hobbies included shooting trap and skeet, gunsmithing and most of all, spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Muriel Warner and his brother, Harold Warner Jr.
Sid is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sheila Renee Warner; son, Sidney Oatley Warner III; daughter, Jessica Warner Swindell (Wes); grandchildren, Tate Warner, Jackson Swindell, Alex Swindell, and John Swindell; sisters, Joanne Telfer (Tom), Constance Dunn (Tom), Peggy Matthews (Gary), and Linda Ellis (Chuck)
Visitation: Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 1:00pm – 2:00pm at Thomas C. Strickland and Sons Funeral Home
A memorial service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 2:00pm.
