Stacey Lynn Carey, 57, passed away on July 6, 2025. She spent her life as a resident of Garden City, Ga.  Born on September 24, 1967, in Savannah, Stacey was a proud honors graduate of Groves High School. She went on to work at Sampson Industrial. A passionate softball enthusiast, Stacey found joy both on and off the field.  Stacey was known for her unwavering faith and her deep love for her family. She walked through life with strength and compassion, always guided by her beliefs. Her heart of gold shone brightest when she was caring for the children in her family—she watched over them as if they were her own, offering comfort, guidance, and unconditional love.  She is lovingly remembered by her sisters Patricia Newbern, Susan Carey Moore, and Maria Deloach; nephews Jamie Loven ( Valerie), Sean Foster (Mandy), and Travis Foster; nieces Ashley Mercier (Van), Casey Deloach, Haley Deloach (Alek), and Kristin Carey (Abagail); son Justin Newsome (Alexia) ; Aunt Mary Gudis ; bonus sister Hope Newsome as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Stacey was preceded in death by her parents, James and Patricia Carey.  Stacey's legacy of faith, strength, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.  The visitation will be on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  The funeral to honor Stacey's life will be on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  The graveside will be on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens located at 315 Greenwich Road in Savannah at 11 a.m.  Thomas C.
