Mr. Stanley T. Carter, age 60, of Guyton, passed away February 14, 2017. Stanley spent over 25 years with Gulfstream Aerospace before retiring, and he enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, and with his dog, Bear. He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Carter and fiance' Jonathan Faircloth, of Guyton; sons, Stanley Carter and wife Jessica (best daughter-in-law in the world), of Guyton, Russell Carter, Randy Carter and wife Monica, David Carter, Chris Carter; grandchildren, Carson Carter, Kensington Carter, David Carter, Tripp Carter, Brendan Carter, Bryce Carter; brothers, Jesse Carter and wife Martha, of Guyton, Jackie Carter and wife Becky, of Guyton, Timothy Carter, Dennis Carter and wife Theresa; sisters, Jean Olive and husband Robert, Pat Jeffers and husband Randall, Joyce Carter, of Guyton, Linda Carter, Frankie Carter, of Guyton; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at Strickland Funeral Home - West Chatham Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Abbey East. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in direct assistance to the family with the funeral expenses.
The family invites friends and family to 330 Old Oak Road in Guyton for a reception dinner immediately following the burial.
