Dr. Stanley F. Childers, 71, of Pooler, GA, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Memorial Hospital.

Stanley was born in Anderson, SC and had lived here for many years.  He was preceded in death by his son, Patrick R. Childers and his father, Floyd Isaiah "Ike" Childers.  Before retiring he owned and operated Dr. Stan Childers Family Dentistry  for 33 years.  He was a devout Christian and was a member of Southside Assembly of God.  He had been a Deacon, taught Sunday School, and praised God through his voice while singing.  He enjoyed sports, being an avid Braves and Bulldog fan.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He will be missed.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Debbie Childers; daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Katie Clayton and Dr. Ashley Clayton; mother, Annie Childers; his greatest joy was being a papa to Caroline, Kennedy, and Mary Kate Clayton; sister, Terri White; niece and nephews, Wendi Arms, Christopher White, Andrew and Matthew Sparks; mother-in-law, Mary Sparks; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dr. Terri Sparks and Bubba Sparks.

The visitation will be on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral to honor Stanley's life will be on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with the entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
