Guyton-Mr. Stanley Joseph Kowalski, Jr., 71, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, October 28, 2015.
He was born to the late Stanley Joseph Kowalski, Sr. & Stella Kowalski in Wyandotte, Michigan. Mr. Kowalski was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jane Martin. He served his country with pride in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam war, and retired from Gulfstream Aerospace after 35 years of service. Stanley's character was filled with a brilliant sense of humor, indescribable kindheartedness, and an immeasurable amount of generosity.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 44 years, Sandra Jean Kowalski; daughter, Nicole Kowalski-Knight; grandsons, Alex Knight and Nicholas Knight; Jill Epperson, who is like a granddaughter; great-grandsons, Lucas Knight and Brantyn Knight; brother-in-law, Jack Martin; Linda Nowakowski who was like a sister; Al Huber and Arber Hurber, who are like brothers; and several nieces and nephews, including Patty Martin, Denise Koch, and Susie Miller.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 7th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 1952 Hwy 21 South, Springfield.
The memorial mass will follow at 12:00 noon.
