Stanley M. Milam
Springfield – Stanley M. Milam, 73, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010.
Stan was born in Marietta, GA and was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis L. and Mettie Frasure Milam. He was a graduate of Marietta High School where he was known by his middle name, Maurice. Stan attended Georgia Tech. He served his country as a Sgt. in the U.S. Army Reserves. He retired from IBM having worked there for 32 years. He was past Commodore of the Hillsboro Inlet Sailing Club and an avid drag racer.
Stan is survived by his wife, Sandra Martin of Springfield; his sons, Thad Milam of Richmond, VA, Todd Milam of Stevensville, Maryland, Trent Milam (Rejoice) of Coon Rapids, Iowa; and 4 grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday with memorial services at 6 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2010 in the chapel.
