Obituary

Savannah-Mr. Stanley Lee Sova, 63, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at his home.
Stan was born in Columbus, OH on June 1, 1950 to Luella & Frank Sova. He was a graduate of South High School in Columbus and a graduate of the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Stan retired in 2012 from the Chatham County Board of Education, having taught math classes at Johnson, Beach, and Savannah High Schools. Stan loved anything with motors and had flown R/C airplanes and raced R/C cars and boats. He was a Christian and was baptized at Whitemarsh Island Baptist Church. He was also a previous member of Bible Baptist Church and a current member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Bloomingdale.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Cynthia R. Sova; sons, Andy Sova of Longwood, FL and Randy Hankinson (Mary) of Thomaston, GA; 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Gabby, TJ, Elizabeth and Charlotte; former wife, Jackie Sova, and several cousins.
The visitation will be on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 11 a.m. until 12 noon with a memorial service to follow at 12 noon, all at Lighthouse Baptist Church located at 109 East Highway 80 in Bloomingdale.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1223, Pooler, GA 31322.
