Bloomingdale-Mr. Stanton G. "Lucky" Robinson, Sr., 80, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at his home.
Lucky was born in West Virginia to the late Charles & Harriett Robinson. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Bertha Simmons (T.C.-deceased), and two brothers, Joe Robinson (Audrey) and Ralph Shehan (Thelma-deceased). He retired from Union Camp after more than 40 years of service and he served his country during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, camping, watching western's, playing poker, and watching Atlanta Braves baseball.
Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Robinson; children, Stanton G. "Robbie" Robinson, Jr. (Mary), Connie Williams (Doug), Bertha Faye Knight, Albert Robinson (Gayle), Mark Lee, Sr., Ellen Robinson, Sherry Brooks (Craig), Sharon Joyner (Chris), Angie Moriarty (Brian), John Robinson (Stephanie) and David Robinson; 38 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren; sisters, Annie Klein (Albert) and Dorothy "Dotty" Dorton (Bill-deceased); sister-in-law, Audrey Robinson and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 12 noon on Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Bloomingdale located at the corner of Cherry Street and Moore Avenue. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
