Mr. Steve Peacock, 73, of Springfield, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at his home.

Steve was born in Macon, Georgia.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert LaLural Peacock and Sara Birdsong Peacock, as well as sons, John Steven Peacock and Kevin Lawless.  He retired from International Paper and was a gifted millwright and welder.  He was a member of Southwest Baptist Church and the Wild Hogs Motorcycle Group.  He enjoyed riding Harley Davidsons, drinking Diet Coke, and he never met a stranger.  He will be remembered for always being helpful and for his work ethic.  He loved the Lord and his family and will be missed.

Survivors include  his loving wife of 24 years, Lynda Peacock; children, Travis Peacock (Danielle), Miranda Rollins (D.L.), Kenneth Peacock, Teressa Brown (Kenneth), and Stephanie Lawless (Jennifer); grandchildren, Khloe, Piper, and Alivia Peacock, Austin and Axel Oglesby, Meghan Maley (Jose), Brittany Robertson (Noah), Adam Brown (Karen), Jack and Kate Lawless; great-grandchildren, Caylee and Emma Casalinuova, Ronan Brown, and Jett Waller; brother, Dr. Robert Peacock (Brenda), a number of nieces and nephews who loved their uncle but also thought that he could be aggravating, and his special caregiver, Rose Daniels.

The visitation will be on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the Southwest Baptist Church located at 831 Littleneck Road, Savannah, Georgia.  The funeral to honor Steve's life will follow at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church with his son, Rev. Travis Peacock, and his brother, Dr. Robert Peacock officiating.  The pallbearers will be John Neal, Zach Schaffner, Alex Neal, Wendell Brown, Bobby Jones, and Kenneth Brown.  Burial will follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens located at 880 Highway 119 South, Springfield, Georgia.
