Brooklet – Steven K. Burns, 65, passed away June 16, 2023 at his home after a long and courageous battle with Leukemia.

The Los Angeles, CA native was a US Army veteran and worked for Gulfstream for 40 years. He loved playing acoustic guitar, golf, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs. He was preceded in death by his father, John Burns; mother, Helen Chubbuck Carter; and father-in-law, Tommy Dixon.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Gwinea Dixon Burns; children, Jennifer Burns (Mike Young), Daniel Burns, Traci Burns (Colton Archer), Courtney Hodges (Clinton) and Chelsea Howard (Cory); grandchildren, Britney Deloach and Alayna Young; great-grandson, Legend Clark; brothers, Donnie Burns (Angie) and Jeff Burns; mother-in-law & father-in-law, Louise & Stan Riner; step-mother-in-law, Nancy Dixon; sister-in-law, Kimberly Rahn; special niece & nephews, Kassidy, Jaime (Hayley) and Jordan Rahn; many other nieces and nephews; and faithful companions, Sophie & Stella.

Visitation:  5-7 pm Monday, June 19, 2023 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 2 pm Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Union Cemetery

Remembrances: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
