Mrs. Sue Ellen Marchant, 74, of Pembroke, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Hospice Savannah.

Sue Ellen was born in Roanoke, Virginia and had lived in Pembroke for a number of years.  She was preceded in death by a grandson, Scotty Walker, and her parents, Howard Insley Roop and Bernice Bible Cassida.  She retired from Sun Trust/Truist Bank after 40 plus years.  She enjoyed sewing, puzzles and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Gerald E. Marchant, Jr.; son, Joseph A. Marchant; daughter, Rhonda S. Walker; sister, Judith Roop Crichton; grandchildren, Amanda Schuman, Jeremy Walker, Lucas Walker, Brycen Walker, Olivia Walker, Wren Walker, and Lorelei Walker, as well as seven great-grandchildren.  Forever in our hearts

The visitation will be on Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.  The memorial service to honor Sue Ellen will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  Family and friends are encouraged to speak at the service if they wish.
