Sula Belle "Sue" Shuman Woods
Guyton – Sula Belle "Sue" Shuman Woods, 75, passed away in her sleep after a short illness on May 16, 2017 at her residence.
The Bulloch County native was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and retired from the Effingham County Board of Education having worked at Marlow Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hyrum and Cora Lee Parrish Shuman; husband, Herman M. Woods; and sister, Marjorie Foote.
She is survived by her son, David L. Woods of Guyton; sister, Lanette Hodges of Newington; brothers, Calvin Shuman of Brooklet and John "Bud" Shuman of Stilson; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Woods Family Cemetery.
