Rincon – Sumner Richard "Dick" Moore, 85, passed away April 24, 2025 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
The Ohio native retired from the U.S. Army after 42 years. He served in Vietnam, Korea, Iran, and Afghanistan, was a Parachute Commander, member of the V.F.W.; and was a proud honorary member of the 1st Ranger Batallion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sumner Richard Moore, Sr. and Hallie Bruce Moore; adopted son, Larry Wayne Glover; brothers, Brent Dean Moore and John Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Moore; daughter, Ashlee Kelso Collins (Matthew); grandchildren, Phillip Dudley, III, Jillian Dudley, Tinzlee Collins, Christopher Glover, Tyler Johnson, and Dillon Glover.
Memorial services will be Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at The Chapel on Hunter Army Airfield.
