POOLER: Susan Jane (Brock) Pate passed away at her home early Tuesday morning, May 11, 2010 after a six-month battle with lung cancer.
Susan was born and raised in the small town of Adrian, MI and relocated to Savannah, GA in 1986 with her husband of forty-six years, Kenneth Larry Pate and their two sons; Ken and Jeff. Susan worked at Candler and Memorial hospitals as a physical therapy tech for a span of over twenty years. Susan was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church on Wilmington Island, as well as a member of the Savannah Chapter Harley Owners Group (HOG).
Susan is preceded in death by her mother and father, Mrs. Alta Brock and Mr. Ezra Brock. Her sister, Miss Marilyn Brock, and her brother, Mr. Robert Brock.
Susan is survived by her husband, Mr. Kenneth Larry Pate. Her two sons, Kenneth Scott Pate and Jeffrey Todd Pate. A daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jennifer Marie Pate and six grandchildren, Anthony, Taylor, Sarah-Louise, Anna, Molly and Christian.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 12 noon at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church on Wilmington Island.
