Susan R.(Hammond) Canney, 59, of Lowell,MA, passed away after a long illness on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. She was the wife of Leslie Canney, with whom they would have celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary this coming Valentines Day. She was born in Savannah, Georgia on October 5, 1958. She was raised in Texas and Georgia. She graduated from Effingham County High School in 1976. She and Les shared many wonderful years together and are particularly close to their many nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be on Saturday, November 11th at Powers Baptist Church located at 1104 East Highway 80 in Eden at 2 p.m. with the burial to follow at the church cemetery.
