Brooklet – Susie Conaway Malphrus, 76, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Ogeechee Area Hospice.

The Effingham County native was a member of Silver Hill United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She was loved by all who knew her.

Survivors include her loving husband, Ed Malphrus; children, Betty Edwards (James), Earl Conaway (Janet), Ira Smith (Angie); sisters, Janette Williams, Barbara Ann Davis, and Carrie Mae Morgan (Ralph); grandchildren, Phillip Deloach (Misty), Nicholas Deloach (Carley), Crystal Deloach (Jason), Brian Smith, Travis Smith, Brittney Smith, Douglas Smith, and Gary Smith; 9 great-grandchildren; step-children, Dorie Rogers (Eddie), Marie Hoover, and Amy James; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 pm Friday, January 7, 2022 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 11 am Saturday, January 8, 2022 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Turkey Branch Baptist Church Cemetery
